This video doesn't cover intensity. For instance this morning when I woke up it sounded extremely loud so I went back to sleep and when I woke up I can barely hear it. Mine sounds like the first one in this video. Also REM sleep seems to affect the intensity. Sometimes it's loud and sometimes it's not, but the only way to change the intensity is through REM sleep for me.

My experience: I tried camphophenique, hydrogen peroxide, tea tree oil, over-the-counter homeopathic ear drops, and homemade garlic olive oil. Along with Advil and Tylenol. The pain killers & OTC ear drops temporarily reduced the pain. But I believe the garlic oil finally cured it after 3 days. I put the garlic oil in at night & in the mornings and once midday.
